Now Bush is threatening to expand on it with or without congress approval.

Bush to expand eavesdropping

The answer to the question: Adoph Hitler, writing about creation of the Gestapo in Nazi Germany.

GT 05.06.07 at 1:18 pm

This is what happens when the civilian population lets security become a higher priority than freedom.

This is what happens when citizens stop participating in their own political process.
Thank whatever god you choose that “political undesirables” haven’t been arrested en masse yet. We still have time.

Mr. Charrington 05.06.07 at 1:36 pm

I don’t know, I hope you’re right. Judging by how the media is leaving out Paul and Gravel which in my opinion are the only two that bring something new to the table, I’m not sure that we do have a chance unless more people get off their asses and look at the facts themselves. I’m suggesting that people not take this site or any other site as fact untill they look into it themselves.

But, DO SO!

Citizen 05.06.07 at 2:16 pm

Impeach Reichard Cheney and George Bush. Put the rest of these lying thieves and masterminds in jail.

Darrell K. 05.06.07 at 2:20 pm

Well, I have known this was coming for quite a while now and naturally I began warning my family and friends, whom all simply rolled their eyes and insisted it was just crazy Darrell the conspiracy theorist alarmist is on another rant tear. Its funny as well that I said about 5 years ago we are heading toward an American Union- which would be one of the first of the last steps toward total globalization and thus ushering in the New World Order. Crazy Darrell was at it again, just like when I said 9/11 was a massive distraction desinged to divert and subvert our attention so that all of the above could happen. My family and friends seriously tried to have me committed to an insane asylum.

People aren’t laughing at me anymore. People are now calling me and appologizing.

S. Johnson 05.06.07 at 2:30 pm

I read articles, many of them, that claim that the impeachment train is moving, or that certain members of congress have made comments that impeachment hearings are being considered, but I would just like to know, and maybe someone can explain it with factual answers rather than the delusional justifications I usually hear, but why, given that this is America we’re talking about, is it taking so long? What possible reason do we, as a nation, have for the delay in putting a stop to an administration that has and most likely will continue to blatantly disregard the laws of our constitution to further thier own personal and political agenda? Why aren’t we marching in cities or holding anti-administration demonstrations? What is it going to take before we wake up from our collective coma and realize that we, by our inaction, are accomplises to the biggest travesty of justice this nation has ever seen? People say that no laws have been broken by those in the whitehouse, therefore the president (lower case intended) is unimpeachable. That statement alone is the scariest part of what is happening to our country today. That people can honestly believe that this man has not committed any crimes at all scares the daylight right out of me. It makes me want to curl up into a ball and suck my thumb and pretend, once again, that this is all just a bad dream and that MY Country, OUR Country… America the Beautiful, is still the home of the brave and the free and that it does still promise liberty and justice for all. So please, someone tell me what does it take to be impeached in this country (besides a BJ in the oval office, I mean) because if we are going to allow the president and his friends to do what they are doing, then we should give felons back thier right to vote as well. If one can be president then the rest should be allowed to vote, don’t you think?

Impeach Bush and Cheney.

Mr. Charrington 05.06.07 at 3:26 pm

I think what scares me the most is – that some people are not even willing to consider what is happening as “real” or “factual” and without even looking into it themselves flame it as a lie and because of that, a part of our country will be duped.
Reminds me of that Twilight Zone “To Serve Man”.

Really — what next rewrite the laws of physics?

Dystopia 05.06.07 at 4:21 pm

“The thought police would get him just the same. He had committed—would have committed, even if he had never set pen to paper—the essential crime that contained all others in itself. Thoughtcrime, they called it. Thoughtcrime was not a thing that could be concealed forever. You might dodge successfully for a while, even for years, but sooner or later they were bound to get you.”

George Orwell, 1984

Narty 05.06.07 at 4:27 pm

Seems like we will be accusing the American people of the same that they are accusing the Germans of.

America, wake up.

Mr. Charrington 05.06.07 at 5:11 pm

I’m afraid your correct Doug but, not many of us are truly native Americans. Which means, that anyone at anytime can be “detained” unlawfully and yet somehow, other Americans can’t imagine this happening to them.
All it would take is for some that dislikes you to give your name as a terrorist and your ass is missing in action.

Neighbors dog barks too much? Report him as doing possible terrorist activities and vola,
dog problem solved!

Chuckles 05.06.07 at 6:13 pm

Don’t worry everybody! Big Brother Bush is just looking out for us!

BUSH SUX 05.06.07 at 8:24 pm

Come on guys! We should be supporting Bush. Don’t look at Iraq as a failure..It’s a celebration of a 4 year mission accomplished!!!

Big Brother 05.06.07 at 8:44 pm

Very true. Bush has made himself, his family and all of his buddies billions. Now they have all the funding they’ll ever need to easily continue their joint, world domination as puppet masters through careful planning and backing of key political figures well into the future. He doesn’t care if he gets impeached at this point and you’re right – regardless, mission accomplished for Bush and his cronies.

Nunuvyer Bizniz 05.06.07 at 11:08 pm

Bush was never elected. Not in 2000, & not in 2004. America stood by while the neocons stole the elections & took over the media. America never questioned the official story about the September 11 attacks. Congress never even read the Patriot Act. America never blinked when Bush substituted Saddam for Osama. America is stupid. After the mandate of the November 2006 elections, Pelosi immediately said impeacment was off the table. Republicans and Democrats are up to their eyeballs in blood and lies. Wake up America! Demand immediate impeachment of Bush and Cheney, before Blackwater thugs roll down Main St USA. America can still be saved if the people demand it.

Big Brother 05.07.07 at 4:30 am

72% of Americans disagree with his policies while the other 28% are just as blind to what Bush is doing as they are to the fact that their spouse is cheating on them and their auto mechanic is overcharging.

Americans are not ‘stupid’. It has been ingrained into our minds that we should trust our parents, our teachers and professors, our ministers and priests, our congress, Senate and of course, our President. To inappropriately trust is not indicative of stupidity. It may be ignorant and naive, but not stupid. OK. Semantics, I know, but that word has a hurtful connotation to it and it’s just not true, for the most part.

I think Americans are really beginning to see the light. But, sadly, most will never understand the true depths of our own government’s corruption. And, I do also agree, Americans need to DEMAND change, not just stand by and wait for it to happen.

YOU need to become active! EVERYONE does! These are not times for passivity and indifference. Our country is sinking into the shadows of a dark hole. Without serious change, this country can’t survive our own internal curruptions.

That’s why we can’t elect another Bush into office. That’s why we need to care who we put there and put our hearts into this election. And, be ready, because there are things going on behind the curtain that we can’t see. Don’t be surprised if there is more deceitful, criminal behavior during this upcoming election. Don’t be surprised if the same puppeteers are behind the next US President.

The only way to ensure it doesn’t happen is to NOT allow it!

Darrell Kern 05.07.07 at 4:01 pm

Do you people actually believe this man and his movement can be stopped by a revolution? Do any of you honestly believe the elite is not fully prepared for a revolution?

A better question is do any of you think that there is actually a difference between a republican or a democrat? The only difference is a democrat speaks as if he/she really cares- but they do the same things!

Geeze, just look at what Al Gore says- then do your own investigating into Occidental Stocks and you will see how he polluted and raped the environment while wearing the constume of an environmentalist!

My point is- these assholes have a response prepared for every situation- and if you start to incite a rebellion or attempt to break off and isolate on American soil you will be destroyed (remember Waco?).

Sadly there is nothing we can do because if we do it we go on a terror watch list and internment to a detention camp is where we will end up.

People like Alex Jones and Jeff Rense and David Icke reach out to millions of disgruntled Americans and their subscriber information is then given to the government. They pretend to be protectors but they really are just letting the givernment who to round up for prison.

Its all very frightening. Jesus said trust no man, especially near the end of times.

Do your research and you will find that this movement has been underway for a very long time and there is nothing to stop it- our chance passed us by decades ago.

Big Brother 05.07.07 at 6:39 pm

Lots of good points, but I can’t enable the current administration or anyone who has ambitions to do harm or rape our country and the people who reside here. If our country is doomed by mere destiny, then so is mankind and so is the World and I can’t lay down to that loser’s mentality. It really is called enabling and it’s a natural tendency of people who have been mistreated and abused for long periods of time. But, it’s not reality.

Reality is, if you stand up and confront your opponent, and you’re stronger, or smarter or more determined, you can beat them. I don’t care how much money, or how much planning or how much determination any government has. If they are doing wrong and the people wish to put a stop to it, it will be so or the country will collapse, period. People like those in the Bush Administration are mere fallible people who are not unbeatable.

Unless of course you bestow such power on them by giving up without a fight…

Mr. Charrington 05.07.07 at 9:20 pm

Or re-electing them or other status – quo parties on either side of the fence.

Rich Paul 05.08.07 at 12:46 am

Don’t blame me, I voted Libertarian!

Vote for Ron Paul in the Republican Primary! Vote Libertarian in the General Election! Libertarians (including Ron Paul, who was our Presidential candidate in 1996) are the only people who are ready, willing, and able to roll back the monster our federal government has become!

Mr. Charrington 05.08.07 at 2:46 am

I’m not totally convinsed that Ron is the man – I’m also very interested in what Mike Gravel is saying.

Darrell Kern 05.08.07 at 12:00 pm

You know Big Brother (interesting handle), I use my real name, which clearly shows that I am no loser or suffer from your indicated mentality. And while it may be duly noted that people who have been abused for a very long time could and understandably so, have a bit of a defeatest attitude on some levels- however, there is therapy avaliable and support groups who can guide one through the obstacles of life and introduce new tools and coping mechanisims that re-create the hope, which apprently you were lucky enough to be born with.

You need to know something else about long time abuse. One of the seemingly negative side effects is hypervigilence and obessive-compulsive research- which keeps the “victim” in a constant state of distrust.

In other words we dont watch television for our news or entertainment. Many of us and I do mean many of us scour the Internet and read books to educate ourselves. In general we are out of the box thinkers, wildly creative and eminately resourceful, which is how we survive until we are able to process through therapy and self help to correct self sabbotage and revictimization.

As a rule a pattern will emerge and we find ourselves responsible for bringing in a constant stream of abusive people well into our adult life. A reality based paradigm shift occurs and we are able to see through even the best bullshit artist tactics. And this new gift of sight is not limited to only the people in our immediate lives.

I have directed my supersight into the political pool and have surrounded myself with some of the most well-respected, iconoclastic truth seekers running about today.

One such person is Jeff Cohen who wrote a book entitled, “CableNews Confidential” this amazing look into the world of corporate conglomerated media is insightful, frightening, funny and powerfully written by a journalist who successfully navigated through the world of intentional dis-information and lived to tell about it. I truly suggest you read it and hope that it brings you one more step out of ignorance and arrogance.

You seem to suffer from good old fashioned American Heroism or the Cowboy syndrome- which suggests you came from extreme protectionism ala Mama’s boy syndrome.

Just so you know- When we arrived in this land of “savages” we gifted the Native peoples of this land small pox ridden blankets and clothing, which all but wiped out a smattering of Indians- which were not too difficult to decimate given the few left to defend themselves. This was also known as Germ Warfare. Ah, but the history books paint a very different color as they usually do. And for the record, our forefather and new father are simply getting better at their work. And they don’t much care that we know it. The reason WTC-7 came down is because all of the ivestigative files for every major corporate scam- were housed in that building and in less that 11 seconds the evidence vanished!

We arm countries like Iraq and Iran so in the future can be considered a threat giving us reason to attack them or disarm them. You can liken it to me selling your child a bicycle, then I reposess it a year later because she could ride out into the street either on purpose or unintentional and cause an accident.

While you may be perceptive in my former abuse, you did not factor in a cure- which is obtuse at best. And while the country rages at the injustices of government and 9/11 and the war on terror- herr Bush is selling us down the river via the American Union- which will strip us all of our constitutional rights.

So Big Brother- big mouth- go ahead- put up your dukes- just be sure to pack a suitcase cause you’ll be one of the first to arrive in Gitmo.

WriterWriter 05.08.07 at 12:27 pm

This is what happens when governments provide all SORTS of distractions for their citizens and foster adherence to religion, and removes the line between religion and politics (see Fox TV, Nancy Grace, etc, etc), and doesn’t provide a good, growing educational system or decent bottom-line health care (the US government recently diverted $75 BILLION out of education and health care to fund the “war” in Iraq. When entertainment news is consumed 99% more often than real news and when a popultion of 300 million has a functional illiteracy rate of almost 45%, you’re IN TROUBLE.

By drumming people down, keeping them uneducated and out of the political loop, convincing them that all sorts of non-important stuff is critical, telling them that their government has their best interests at heart, governments run their countries unimpeded by knowledgeable voters who know they have clout and will use it.

The US is a prison.

Ennealogic 05.08.07 at 2:25 pm

It’s going to take a revolution.

We’ve gone too far down the rabbit hole and too many “officials” and congresscritters are either spineless or totally bought and paid for.

It’s going to take a revolution. We had to fight hard over 200 years ago for our freedoms. I think we are going to have to fight hard again, only it isn’t against Arabs or Muslims.

Darrell Kern 05.08.07 at 4:14 pm

Writerwriter and Ennealogic- you both have a very healthy view of what’s really going on. And while I do believe that only a revolution could effect the change and enforce our freedom. That we have to forcibly take back our voices- my opinion is that its too much, too little, too late- and clearly this is true because they are ripping people out of their homes in the middle of the night already and I am sure they have a place in place to do this on a much larger scale. Jimmy Carter had mentioned in his speech about ushering in a “New World Order” and every president since has been specifically selected to continue this process and every president has mentioned it. JFK mentioned in an address to the nation that we must expose “secret societies” who endanger our freedoms with the introduction of a New World Order and he was asassinated shortly thereafter that speech which can be found on Youtube-Google and many other sites. As a matter of fact anyone who has gained the microphone for freedom and civil liberties has either been silenced or assasinated and THIS IS A FACT.

Any attempt to start a revoloution or encourage revoloutionary actions has resulted in questionable fatalities- that we begin to focus on and uncover- which is the exact distraction the arrogant elite expect.

An angry march or protest will only result in legal prosecution based on the patriot act that was completely re-written at 3:00 in the morning and to be voted upon by 11:00 am- most of congress who passed this facist legislation had no idea what they voted on- it doesn’t matter it passed.

Now if every freedom fighting US citizen were to refuse paying taxes and walked to the whitehouse together to forcibly removed the powers that be- I think lameduck Bush would push the button.

Big Brother 05.08.07 at 8:48 pm

It’s really great to see so many intelligent, articulate, well-rounded, knowledgeable people speak out openly in one place.

It’s somehow inspiring to realize that so many Americans really do have open eyes. It personally makes me feel that much less alone in a world that I sometimes think is totally blind to what goes on around us.

However, there is more to it than knowing. There needs to be a leap of faith. There needs to be action. I think bringing Ron Paul and Mike Gravel to the 2008 elections would be a great start which is why I plan to fully support them both in any way possible pending any dramatic change of events in future debates.

One major problem we face is that those allegedly corrupt “secret societies” have much to gain and more to lose if their long-earned efforts were to be foiled by some non-corruptible president coming to power.

They will do whatever is necessary to stop a fair election from taking place. It has been far too easy for the CIA to pull the trigger on major plots like the assassinations of JFK and Bobby Kennedy, the election which was stolen from Gore in 2000, the 9/11 plot and the raping of Iraq.

The CIA, et al, have very high confidence levels due to win after win and nothing will stop them now short of a revolution or some sort of dramatic turn of events. But, it won’t happen without a fight from both sides and it will require a huge leap of faith by the people.

Many American citizens are on to them thanks to sites like this but especially Digg and YouTube for making it easy for the normal Joe to play a role in honest reporting of the news. Those who would do damage to the US will be met with more and more opposition and confrontation by the people and small numbers of not-yet-corrupt politicians.

That’s why they are willing to commit horrible crimes and pull off incredible cheats right in front of our eyes. They feel indestructible, with good reason. They have pulled off feat after feat after feat and gotten away with each and every one of them.

Again, they have much to gain and more to lose by letting their current agendas be foiled by the people voting some long-shot presidential candidate into office.

If a candidate is not corruptible, they will either have the election virtually stolen from them, or even worse, they risk being forcibly removed from office by the CIA or others that deem it necessary.

Americans must come to understand that we too have much to lose by allowing this underground of corruption to continue it’s hold on our country.

We must come to understand the value of Freedom once again as Americans once new all too well. Freedom is something worth fighting for but every living American born citizen was born into freedom and we’ve never really needed to come to understand what it really means. Not the way our forefathers had to.

Only after losing our freedom or having it stripped away from us on some very real level can we come to understand what we are losing.

But, for now, we are only beginning to see the damage our own government is inflicting on us.

I fear that our government is in many ways, our own worst nightmare and I hope we all continue to discuss these things openly and with real intent to do something about it if necessary.

Darrell Kern 05.09.07 at 3:16 pm

Its not just the government- it big business- corporate conglomerates that own 99% of the worlds wealth and they will not let the sheeple of this country effect their profits.

Al Gore would have sold us down the river because he is a total hypocrite dufus- they only difference is, Al Gore would have made us love him for it.

JFK played the game to get into office then turned the tables on the power elite. Chances are Ron Paul and/or Mike Gravel may very well do some mudraking as an appearance, but they are not true Libertarians.

First the administration shows us the horrors and lunacy og George Bush, then the introduction of a political hero (who appears to be) on the side of the people, then wham- either he will be assasinated or he will spread good cheer the world over as the powers that be quietly finish us all off. And we have seen this over and over.

This isn’t just the United States. This is a worldwide fiasco- with all the super power elite working together- from every nation.

The corruption runs so deep and is so pervasive- that a new administration would never be able to undo the damage. The privitzation of our water supply is being given to big businesses that have no accountability to the evironment-This insanity is already here.

The real estate market is crashing, people are going into foreclosure and mass bankruptcy- and even the poorest are being offered credit cards at an alarming rate- completely unaware that they are being systematically debted into homelessness.

There is so much more that needs to happen and all this bullshit about, well lets see what would happen with a new president is not unlike switching seats on the Titanic.

I certainly appreciate some of the empowering comments and positive attitudes- but in all reality JFK and RFK who were our best shot at change were assasinated- so what difference does it make?

Martin Luther King would have made a fantastic president for about 10 minutes before a bullet pierced his head. About all we can do is ride this wave through and not sell out ourselves.

If Bush and Cheney are impeached- they will simply be pardoned by the next president.

America is a prison and the elite are the wardens- should we riot- which is exactly what they want- they will open fire and kill us until our numbers are too small to make a defense.

darrell kern 05.10.07 at 6:20 pm

I forgot to leave this link for research:

All is not really lost, but by challenging hopelessness in the advocation of it- it makes people think deeper for solutions that can and actually will work.

We have all been trained systematically and effectively for years into a state of resistence and submission and the results have been shockingly and appallingly real and it will take an enormous exaggeration of the facts and effects to get people off their lazy asses and do something more pro-active than running into the streets with posters and signs.

The cabalistic powers elite must be systematically lynched and destroyed. Comepletely and throughly. These beings must be seen as the garbage they are- then they can be handled accordingly.
