As went Rome so goes America

On may 30th President Bush signed an agreement with the European Union in which he (Bush) created an economic transatlantic counsel. A new cabinet level office. Again no congressional approval of the office being created with the idea to economically integrate us with the European Union.

It was co-signed by chancellor Merkle of Germany with a ceremony in the White House without consultation of congress at all.

Actual Fear is setting in to government members in both republicans and democrats. Great powers being taken on by Bush that don’t have a basis in the Constitution. Students of history will remember in Rome the counsels that wanted emperors or dictators created “emergencies” and then declared themselves Emperor in charge to solve the problem.
NSPD51 and HSPD20, Bush has given himself the exact same authority and power in which he can declare at anytime for any reason. Even down to taking control of privately owned businesses if he chooses to do so.
