It has to begin somewhere, right? And yes, it seems slightly ironic (ok, call it coincidental) that the first city to adopt this "card" is New Haven, CT...home to Skull and Bones and Yale University (the group who's alumni have tentacles into many aspects of our lives, both financial and political). And "a"...please educate yourself on Real ID. If and when it is forced on you, it will not be issued by the US Government. Oh no, they are just the financial backers of the plan. It will be issued by your local/state government. No problem for the residents of New Haven though...they will already have theirs. :) The point is…this could be the beginning of a much larger issue. This has nothing to do with Real ID. Its just a small city making their own id/debit card. They have no authority to force banks or anyone use to use or require it outside of their city limits.
